ARTHUR OP DEN BROUW
Founder / Creative Director
Founder, Arthur op den Brouw offers extensive experience, skills and know-how of design, marketing, communication and sales across a wide range of media. His passion for cross-cultural and media communication led him to join forces with Ruba Jurdi in 2010 to launch Connexxions.
With over 30 years’ experience in the marketing industry, and as an early adopter of the Internet, Arthur offers marketing consultancy and mentoring as well as sales and branding tools and strategies for businesses that seek to make the best use of web-enabled technologies. His core passion is for helping create clearly branded and profitable businesses.
Arthur previously ran a leading regional brand agency in Reading, Berkshire. He lead this vibrant and successful agency to work on a wide range of marketing and design related assignments including producing Richard Branson’s global challenger website in 1997, and the world’s premier second-hand gas turbine portal.
In 2007 Arthur had the privilege to be mentored by brand guru Wally Olins, and also says he owes much of his unique view on branding to the psychology and executive coaching professions.
Co-founder / New Business Development Director
Ruba Jurdi co-founded Connexxions in 2010. She is an experienced media & communication professional specialising in the luxury travel and automotive industries in both the Middle East and the UK. She has extensive experience in broadcast media, having worked with ABC in Kuwait and the BBC in London and the Gulf.
Fluent in both Arabic and English, and with considerable commercial acumen, Ruba is passionate about creating and maintaining strong business relationships equally among board level and senior management, as well as production teams on the ground.
Always charming and intelligent in her approach she now maintains a long list of key players in broadcast and printed media, national public services, corporate banking, prestige automotive, luxury goods and services, and international travel.
Most recently, Ruba built brand awareness for Rally Royale, a prestige and classic car event organisation based in London with plans for the Gulf region. Ruba developed an extensive network of Ambassadors, Media and PR associates and was responsible for achieving a high level of visibility among the global classic car and HNW community.
Adrian is a marketing strategist with a track-record of successful programmes in engineering, innovation and technology. His most recent project has been as board consultant and marketing director for startup Recycling Technologies. There, Adrian led the identification of key markets, aligned the company’s direction, defined its product and service offering, and implemented a tactical PR and profile building marketing communications strategy. Under his stewardship, the company has consistently exceeded its targets and is now a much talked about leading light company in the plastics recycling industry.
Prior to joining Connexxions, Adrian had a 33-year multi-functional career with GE Energy. Until his recent early retirement, he led marketing strategy, innovation and cross-border opportunities for the Europe and CIS regions. With deep experience in both international corporate and bootstrap startup environments, Adrian is what you might call a down-to-earth blue sky thinker. He has the unique ability to simultaneously see the global picture and understand the constraints and challenges of the here and now.
Working with the Connexxions’ team, Adrian offers pragmatic strategy advice coupled with marcoms and brand consultancy for businesses in the innovation sector.
JAKOB OP DEN BROUW
Digital/Video Technology Creative
Jacob has a cross-media capability. He designs and develops websites and web applications that are responsive and scalable across a spectrum of devices, screen sizes, platforms and orientations using a mix of flexible grids and layouts, images, and an intelligent use of CSS media queries. He has expertise in WordPress and Drupal.
Furthermore, he is an outstanding videographer with extensive experience in combining, footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects.
Director / Business Consultant
Viveka is a business consultant with extensive international experience. She has a deep understanding and passion for branding and communication, especially how it impacts leadership and team values.
Viveka previously held senior positions in the Telecom and IT sector for leading equipment vendors and operators. Today, she works across industries with medium to large multi-nationals in different phases of their business life cycle: start-up, expansion, transformation, outsourcing as well as mergers & acquisitions.
Viveka’s passion lies in the Middle East and she has extensive experience acquired from the whole region, having worked and lived in the UAE, Oman, Kuwait and Egypt.
She thrives in a challenging international business environment delivering tailored, complex business transformation programmes, developing leaders, reshaping organisations, building and promoting a performance driven culture.
Trained in both Qualitative and Quantitative methods, Greg is experienced in conducting surveys, interviews, eye-tracking experiments to gain insights on the user experience and expectations. Prior to joining Connexxions, he worked for leading publishers, pharmaceuticals to technology businesses in Europe and Asia.
Greg advises customers on strategies for user-centric design, Search Engine Optimisation and new technological capabilities such as augmented, virtual and mixed realities. Greg is Trilingual (French, English and some Chinese), has a Masters in e-Business Management specialising in Human Computer Interaction and a broad understanding of Asian cultures.
Alfonso is a talented Architect from Rome, who took up residence in London in 2012 and has joined the Connexxions team to provide solid creative expertise for our growing interior design capability.
Registered as a Chartered Architect in England, and a member of the Architect’s Board in Italy, Alfonso offers solid know-how in a broad range of architectural scenarios through all the design stages, from inception to completion.
GCC VVIP Consultant
Kinda worked directly for HRH Prince Waleed Bin Talal with The Kingdom based in Saudi Arabia for nearly ten years. During that time she was responsible for managing his personal flight itineraries and programs when abroad. Kinda is an experienced marketing consultant with excellent connections in the Middle East. She is our main point of contact in Dubai.
